Gints Mālkalnietis is an experienced cybersecurity expert who has been contributing to national cybersecurity for more than 10 years as a member of the Cybersecurity Incident Response Institution CERT.LV, specializing in handling various cyber incidents. His experience spans both the public and private sectors. Before joining the CERT.LV team, Mālkalnietis worked at the LMT Security Service and Aizkraukle Bank, where he developed essential skills in the field of IT security. He is also an expert appointed by the State Police in criminal cases involving cyber components. Mālkalnietis is regularly involved in public discussions on cybersecurity, providing insights into the activities of fraudsters and offering recommendations for improving cybersecurity among the population.
