Before joining the CERT.LV team, Mālkalnietis worked at the LMT Security Service and Aizkraukle Bank, where he developed essential skills in the field of IT security. He is also an expert appointed by the State Police in criminal cases involving cyber components. Mālkalnietis is regularly involved in public discussions on cybersecurity, providing insights into the activities of fraudsters and offering recommendations for improving cybersecurity among the population.

Mikael Bjerkeland

Principal Solutions Engineer, Norway

Mikael Bjerkeland is a Principal Security Solutions Engineer based in Oslo, Norway. He has worked with Splunk for several years, both as a consultant and as a customer, and has developed multiple Splunk Technology Add-ons. He started his career at a local ISP working with Linux systems, later moving into Cisco networking and Kubernetes.
